About the 12 Christmas Stories

The 12 Christmas Stories started out, believe it or not, as a sociological challenge. I tried to convince a class I was teaching in Applied Sociology that Sociology could be really useful and as an exapmple I said it could help a writer produce a collection of popular Christmas Stories. Having said it I set out to see if it were true. Of course the stories, filled as they were with the spirit Christmas took on legs of their own and walked away from sociology more or less. They bear no impress of their origin.

My cousin Rachel gave me help and encouragement although she hated Leah as did Lauren and Beth and Dina of the writing group. I, on the other hand, love Leah. She a fabulous fable creature.

about how you might read
the 12 Christmas Stories

I really don't have any intelligent suggestions to make except to tell you I like the Man who Begrudged Christmas and am inordinately fond of The God Suit and the Crying Statue. The Androids Gift makes me cry although it left a few of the people who read these stories cold. I am fond of The Writers because it gave me a chance to revisit old friends. If you want to read a christmas story about a little boy who exchanges places with his computer as a christmas gift, A Computer's Christmas is the story to read. Then there is Leah.
